Mental health care with options beyond a first prescription

You do not have to settle for a life narrowed by depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or addiction. You deserve real answers: a clear diagnosis, a medication plan that makes sense, and options beyond first-line treatments when those are not enough.

Many visits can happen through secure telehealth across Virginia; the Fairfax location is here when an in-person evaluation or advanced treatment is the better next step.

What we treat

Care built around what is actually going on

At our Fairfax office, we see adults across Northern Virginia for conditions that commonly hold people back. We focus on understanding what is actually going on, not just writing a prescription and moving on. That means listening, testing thoughtfully, and building a plan that fits your symptoms, history, and goals.

  • Depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, sleep, and mood disruptions.
  • Co-occurring substance-use concerns, with attention to cravings, withdrawal risk, and safety.
  • Medication management, symptom monitoring, and coordination with your outside care team.
How we work with you

A structured evaluation, then a connected plan

Every patient starts with a structured evaluation. From there, we build a treatment plan around medication management, symptom monitoring, and coordination with outside therapists, social workers, primary care providers, or referring clinicians when you give consent. You are not a chart: your progress, side effects, and concerns matter at every visit.

Advanced options

TMS and IV ketamine

When standard medications and therapy have not produced the improvement you need, you can explore TMS and IV ketamine infusion therapy at our Fairfax office. These are not first-line treatments; they are for specific, treatment-resistant cases after an in-person psychiatric evaluation confirms that the benefits and risks fit you.

Addiction psychiatry

Treated with the same rigor as every other condition

Substance use is a medical condition, not a moral one. We provide medication-based addiction psychiatry for alcohol, opioid, and other substance-use concerns, with attention to cravings, withdrawal risk, and the mental health conditions that often travel alongside addiction. Telehealth follow-up is available when it is safe and appropriate; an in-person evaluation at Fairfax is recommended when symptoms, withdrawal, or safety concerns require a closer look.

Telehealth works when you are medically safe

Many follow-up visits and medication checks work well remotely, but we will tell you honestly if an in-person appointment, the ER, or another provider is the safer choice.

  • You are safe at home and able to care for yourself.
  • You are not in severe withdrawal or medical danger.
  • You can focus and follow your treatment plan.
  • You are not actively suicidal, violent, or losing touch with reality.
When to choose urgent or emergency care

Telehealth is not enough when there is imminent risk. Seek urgent or ER care if there is immediate risk of harm, confusion, paranoia, intoxication, withdrawal danger, or an inability to manage basic needs. For immediate crisis support, call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

  • Active suicidal intent, a clear plan, or access to lethal means.
  • Hallucinations, delusions, or severe paranoia.
  • Severe alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, including shaking, confusion, or seizure risk.
  • Uncontrolled mania or pregnancy with acute psychiatric or withdrawal risk.
